Position Description

Real Matters is looking for an innovative, experienced, and talented Project leader to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deploy enterprise wide projects on time and on budget.

While reporting to the EVP, Program and Operations, you will work with various departments under the Real Matters’ umbrella and play a key role in managing large projects and deploying new clients within the company’s Title & Settlement Services division. The Director, Project Management / Client Deployment is a client facing role, requiring a demonstrated project management capability at a senior level – communicating with internal stakeholders in Operations, Tech, Shared Services, Senior Leadership, etc. all with the goal of keeping projects and teams on track against project milestones. This is a fast-paced / high growth environment, so the successful candidate will have a passion and drive towards achieving organizational goals with independence and autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Responsible for the creation / adaptation of detailed project plans, tracking to clear timelines and objectives
    • Maintaining project objectives and monitoring output to expected quality standards
    • Identify early and resolve issues, risks and roadblocks to the plan
    • Travel between Real Matters’ offices may be required
    • Provide reporting to Senior Management of project progress and tracking to budget
    • Coordination / communication with stakeholders / project team across multiple locations, of upcoming deliverables required to hit the plan
    • Hold stakeholders / project team accountable to expected outcomes / timelines
    • Lead weekly update meetings and set expectations
  • Client Deployment
    • Interface with client, third party vendor and internal stakeholders to determine project scope (typically system integrations, operational workflow/process modification, reporting implementation, communication/meeting rhythm definition, etc)
    • Responsible for the creation / adaptation of a detailed project plan, tracking to clear timelines and objectives to get a client live and placing orders
    • Identify early and resolve issues, risks and roadblocks to the plan
    • Travel to client operations facilities may be required, depending on the size of the client
    • Provide reporting to Senior Management of project progress and tracking to budget
    • Hold stakeholders / project team accountable to expected outcomes / timelines
    • Lead weekly/monthly update meetings (internally/externally) and set expectations
    • Tracking success critera post launch to determine if goals were met/remediation of issues (if required)

Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, along with PMP certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, especially larger projects with enterprise wide scope
  • Residential Title & Closing / Settlement Services experience preferred
  • Experience with technology projects / client deployments preferred
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to present confidently and effectively to Senior Executives, Client Facing experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence in a business environment
  • Expertise in conflict resolution
  • Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient with all MS Office applications
  • Demonstrate strong organization skills and the capacity to multi-task
  • Display enthusiasm and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
